Organized by the folks at The Mobile City and The Virtueel Platform, Designing the Hybrid City is a conference “on the role of digital media and technologies in urban design.” The conference is taking place at the Dutch Cultural Centre located at the World Expo in Shanghai from August 16-17 2010.
The conference’s goal is to look at how digital media use changes the urban landscape from culture to design.
Who is this for? We invite professionals involved in the shaping of the 21st-century city to join us in Shanghai. Whether you are a city planner, architect, (academic) researcher, artist, media- or interface designer, or developer of mobile apps, what counts is that you have an open mind towards other disciplines, and that you like to discuss your ideas and experiences and show your best practices.
Submit your proposal before April 22, 2010! I wish I could be in Shanghai for this!
And the best part so far? Jack Qiu and Isaac Mao are keynoting the conference!
Thanks Marcella for bringing this to my attention!
